Health Tip of the Week - "Sunshine"

Did you know that over 50% of Americans are not getting all the sunshine they need? By not doing so will be a contributing factor to health problems in your future. The sun DOES NOT cause cancer. Lack of sun does. Sunshine is essential for good health and stimulates your body to produce the Vitamin D that it needs. Your homework for the week....."Catch some rays". Minimum 20 minutes a day.

Kristy, I am glad you raised this important subject. I found out to my detriment when going for a bone-density scan that one should spend 10-15 mins in the sun every day if possible.
It helps to prevent bone loss - I.e. Osteoporosis.
This goes for men and women, especially fair men. Even my doctor has osteoporosis and he is young and fair. Judy
